Archaeological Measurements |
|
The precisely accurate survey of archaeological find and findings into a coordinate system (such as UTM/Gaus-Borger/MGI) and the creation of a terrain model is the basis of any archaeological research.
The archaeological measurement is used for an accurate determination of location and heights of the site, for the documentation of the state of the archaeological findings before, during and after the excavation and for the visualisation of the excavation results.
We offer:
- Creation and erection of a grid system for archaeological excavations
- Competent and effective recording of archaeological finds and findings on site (floor plan measurements, route measurements)
- Measurement based excavation documentation using a total station for recording separate layers, find concentration, extension, et cetera
- Survey with GPS or total station
- Digital terrain modelling (2D-models, 2.5-D-models, et cetera)
- Efficient methods and technologies (GPS and tachymetry equipment) by using different and to the formulation adapted equipment
