Archaeological Survey

survey.jpg

The aim of an archaeological survey is to investigate the surface of an defined area.

To create a extensive picture of an area during a time period including its social and economical development, it is necessary to link the field data with archive data, aerial photography and geographical information.

We offer:

  • Surveys such as: Creation of finds and findings topography; old road research; settlement and landscape archaeology
  • Recording, survey and mapping in the field
  • Efficiency by using adequate hardware and techniques even in the field, such as impact proof laptops and cameras, differential GPS
  • Visualization of the data via a GIS
  • Linking of the archaeological dataset with existing GIS datasets (such as topographical surveys, geographical, geological and ecological datasets, aerial photography, et cetera)
  • Linking non digital data, such as archive sources to newly achieved information (databank solutions, digitalization)
